Karmi With Us: Volunteers
Karmi Shifts we’re currently recruiting for:
Deep cleaning: flexible shift time (some experience req. for cleaning)
Do you love the Shambhala community and want to deepen your practice with unlimited yoga and meditation classes?
Join our vibrant community of volunteers through Shambhala’s karmi program!
In yogic philosophy, Karma yoga is the yoga of action. It asks of us to serve our community: to be a part of something greater than ourselves.
The commitment: Karmis devote 3 hrs a week to a shift. In exchange for your time, karmis receive unlimited membership to Shambhala, which includes yoga, dance and meditation classes. We ask for at least a 3-month commitment, but of course we hope you’ll stay with us! We’re looking for folks who are ready to welcome our diverse students and embrace and support our community.
What do karmis do? Karmis help us build our community by welcoming everyone who comes through our doors. We serve at the front desk signing students in to class and help them make class and shop purchases; we orient new students, and we maintain the studio.
We love getting to know Shambhala’s students and teachers, and we like to practice often! Karmi-ing with us is a wonderful way to support our community while getting access to affordable yoga, meditation and dance.
How to apply: If you see an open shift that meets your availability, contact Lia through the email link below to apply. We’re looking for folks who are ready to support our community studio, so it helps if you’ve practiced with us before - you can always check out one of our free community classes :)
Do you think karma yoga might be right for you?
