Private Yoga Sessions All of our teachers are available for private classes. Private sessions are a wonderful way to deepen your practice, work on specific issues, help you develop a yoga home practice, address questions or concerns you may have about alignment, injury prevention or recovery, strength-building or flexibility enhancement, etc. Each session is tailored to meet your particular needs. It is also a forum where you can find time to explore the deeper philosophical and spiritual foundations of yoga, as well as the breath practices of pranayama, meditation, chanting, use of mudras, restorative yoga and much more. You may speak to teachers directly to set up an appointment. Each teacher sets their own rates. |

Bring Yoga to work and see what a difference it will make. Our program "Yoga
At Work" brings yoga to the work place. Taught by highly-trained, experienced
teachers on the staff of Shambhala Yoga Center, providing a break in the work
day to come back to our 'senses' is good for productivity.
Research has shown that chronic stress decreases efficiency in the work place
and increases the number of "sick days" that employees take.
These days. it seems that everyone is talking about yoga. Movie stars and professional
athletes are singing its praises. A recent New York Times photo showed several
NY Yankees doing yoga in the outfield during warm-ups. Doctors are recommending
yoga to their patients and large corporations are offering lunch-time yoga classes
for their employees. So what's so great about yoga? And just what is it anyway?
Yoga is a scientific system of practices that draws on many ancient and modern
traditions. Yoga combines physical stretching and toning exercises with deep
breathing, relaxation and meditation techniques for lowering stress. Yoga strengthens
the body, soothes the spirit, quiets the mind and restores a sense of peace
and well-being to our lives. And it feels great!
Our "Yoga At Work" program offers a variety of class options:
- Early Morning Yoga
- Lunch Time Yoga
- After Work Yoga
8-Week Session of once-a-week classes: $80 + one-time $25 supplies' fee
Private Instruction is also available: $ 100 for one hour
Shambhala Yoga Center is owned and directed by Catherine Calderon, a certified
hatha yoga instructor, in the Anusara tradition. Ms. Calderon is registered
with the national certification board, Yoga Alliance. Formerly an award-winning
filmmaker, theatre director, and college professor, she has over 15 years' experience
